Ameresco has a current opening for a Director – Electrification position with our AEG business unit.  AEG seeks an industry leader to lead and expand AEG’s products and services in the areas of transportation and building electrification. The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in electrification adoption forecasting, program design, and program evaluation, demonstrated through previous consulting experience, a thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory policies, a strong track record of project execution, relationship building, and business development. A strong background in the program design of energy efficiency and demand response programs is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for key practice areasContribute to the development of AEG’s business objectives, directives, and product developmentUse industry expertise and thought leadership in the area of electrification to drive innovation and excellence within AEGSupport AEG goal achievement by developing new business with existing and new clientsEngage in and lead additional management activities such as management strategy, business development strategy, and improvement of processesManage/direct a team of analysts, associates, project managers and/or managers to meet or exceed their goals in project work and professional developmentProvide direction and coaching to direct reports that supports the successful achievement of their job development goalsManage and/or oversee complex projects or tasks which may include: market assessment, adoption forecasting, load impact analyses, cost-effectiveness assessment, program development and planning, evaluation analysis, market research, and other work that aligns with AEG’s products and servicesManage/direct the development of project deliverables including written memos, reports, and presentations and manage the QA/QC process on those deliverables to the project director’s satisfactionManage/direct QA/QC of complex analysis performed by others to ensure deliverables are high quality, sensible, and error freeCommunicate analytical methods and results to clients and the broader industry in a clear and effective mannerApprove technical decisions related to complex research, planning, and data analysisManage/direct the development of analysis plans for complex tasks and/or projectsBuild and maintain relationships with clients to maximize productivity and cultivate future opportunities, andPerform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS in Engineering, Economics, Public Policy, Business or related field10 or more years of industry experience
