The Director of Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Operations will drive the execution of enterprise-wide data initiatives. This role ensures business objectives driven high quality data, regulatory compliance, and robust data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a leader with expertise in data governance frameworks, MDM, and scalable data operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Data Governance**
+ Develop, implement and oversee a data governance framework, data standards, and procedures.
+ Ensure compliance with international, national, local, regional privacy and data sovereign regs.
+ Establish and oversee data stewardship, data classification, retention/disposition, access control and recurring access certifications. Conduct audits and risk assessments for data integrity.
+ Master Data Management (MDM)
+ Design and execute MDM strategies to unify critical data assets (e.g., consumer, customer, product, services).
+ Oversee master data lifecycle processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
+ Collaborate with Data/Solutions Architecture to integrate MDM with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM).
+ Drive data quality improvements through standardization and validation.
+ Data Operations
+ Oversee end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
+ Partner with data architecture and engineering teams to optimize cloud-based data platforms.
+ Monitor system performance, implementing solutions for scalability and reliability.
+ Manage metadata repositories, data catalogs, and lineage tracking for transparency.
**Leadership**
+ Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering innovation and continuous learning. Promote data literacy and stakeholder engagement.
+ Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, and business units to align data
+ strategies.
+ Report to executives on KPIs, data quality metrics, and initiative progress; establish transparency to build confidence.
+ Manage budgets and vendor relationships for data tools and technologies.
**Qualifications**
+ Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
+ Experience: 10+ years in data management, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
**Technical Skills**
+ Expertise in data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM), MDM tools (Profisee, Purview), and data ops tools (ETL, Apache Kafka).
+ Proficiency in cloud platforms, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
+ Knowledge of AI/ML integration and real-time data processing.
**Soft Skills** : Strategic thinker, exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
**Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
