Director - Compensation Strategy & COE
**Job Summary** The Director of Global compensation is responsible for leading and managing the global compensation Center of Excellence (COE). The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in total rewards, and market competitiveness, who can shape and drive innovative compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role will also bring outside perspectives from industry networks, compensation forums, and regulatory discussions to shape our approach in partnership with senior executives in Total Rewards and the business **Responsibilities** * Lead and manage a team of compensation professionals within the COE, overseeing day-to-day operations and project execution. * Develop and maintain COE processes, tools, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency, as well as compliance with statutory and financial regulations * Contribute to, support, and drive global projects such as Annual Rewards Cycle, M&A, training, and communications * Leverage external relationships with industry peers, professional associations, and compensation networks to stay ahead of market shifts. * Serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader, bringing external insights on compensation trends, pay transparency, and regulatory changes. * Successfully crafts and delivers executive level summaries to influence senior management decision making * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of compensation programs and policies, and propose enhancements and improvements as needed * Partner successfully with various internal stakeholders across the company such as HR, Compliance, Legal, Finance etc. as well as external vendor partners in the delivery and support of compensation programs * Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the COE **Education & Experience** **Recommended** + Four-year or Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, Business, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. + Typically has 12+ years of work experience, preferably in compensation management and administration, employee benefits and rewards, finance, or a related field, as well as 3+ years in people management experience + Deep technical competency including experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access (VBA knowledge a plus) and PowerBI + Experience properly securing, protecting, and managing sensitive and confidential data + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large and complex data sets. + Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and levels. + Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. **Preferred Certifications** + Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/ Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHPR) + Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) + Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) + Compensation Management Specialist (CMS) + Compensation Benefits Professional (CBP) **Knowledge & Skills** + Job Evaluation + Benchmarking + Market Trends + Dashboard + Data Analysis + Data presentation + Economics + Human Resource Management + Human Resources Information System (HRIS) + Performance Management + Process Improvement + Project Management + Auditing + Regulatory Compliance + Risk Management + Workday (Software) **Cross-Org Skills** * Customer Centricity * Prioritization * Resilience * Team Management * Strategic Thinking **Impact & Scope** * Impacts multiple functions and may act as a lead to peers on cross-functional project teams working to establish and execute business goals. **Complexity** * Contributes to the development of company objectives and achieves goals through subordinate high-level individual contributors and managers. **Disclaimer** * This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role. The base pay range for this role is $145,150 to $232,250 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).
