SummaryDirector Business Performance Management – Portfolio partners with several internal business colleagues including the Director and Manager, Sales Finance (State) and senior sales management and leadership. Lead portfolio manager team in supplier planning, inventory management, goal planning and sales communication activities. Operate within complex markets which include high distributor and supplier investment, significant supplier dedicated resources, dynamic pricing and programming environment and an intricate route to market sales organization. Job duties include management of various key responsibilities directly related to supplier relations, contract commitments and planning. Works closely with suppliers, sales teams and portfolio managers to develop programs that drive the business; communicates program progress; and manages inventory to support programs. Role reports to an EVP or Vice President.
In this role, you will Manage direct report team; business workflows; standard of operations; reports; technology solutions; management routines and appropriate recordkeeping for compliance reasons. Works with Sales Vice Presidents to confirm supplier sales goals; communicates supplier goals; and develops tracking on key supplier programs to keep the sales force informed. Develops brand plan calendars and incentives to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicates progress on KPIs and sales execution. Updates/maintains sales forecasts on key brands and suppliers to cover programs, including Blue Ridge. Lead supplier dedicated resources to achieve aligned business goals and manage performance and market opportunities with supplier resources Steward supplier review meetings in tandem with portfolio managers; and supports action steps needed both internally and externally with key suppliers Interacts with sales VP’s and key supplier partners to ensure effective and efficient business management within portfolio manager team Surveys market with Sales Management, Supplier Partners and Portfolio Managers to monitor execution of programs and identify market opportunities on a regular basis. Interacts with Finance Director on a regular basis to ensure adherence to proper management and communication routines between portfolio managers and state finance managers Supervisory Responsibilities will manage the following job positions: State Portfolio Manager, State Portfolio Business Analyst and applicable dedicated supplier overlays. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these Associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and talent development; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.What you bring to RNDC Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; Master's Degree preferred. Ten or more years of related experience, including at least seven years in sales management within the alcoholic beverage industry highly preferred. Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and create persuasive presentations for top management and public groups. Proficient in advanced mathematical concepts (algebra and statistics) to derive meaningful business insights. Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Power BI; experience with database and supply chain software necessary. CPA, CMA, CFA, or similar qualifications preferred, but not required. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, maintain a current driver's license, and obtain necessary alcoholic beverage permits as required by law.
