The Office of Financial Aid provides the highest quality service to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students in pursuit of their academic goals. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Director for the Office of Financial Aid.

Among the key duties of the position are the following: Provides leadership, oversight, strategic planning, supervision, and management of the staff and operations. Oversees the administration and coordination of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs at Rutgers University–New Brunswick (RU – NB), which includes over twenty (20) schools and 50,000 students. Prepares and manages the annual operating and scholarship budgets. Acts as the key person in RU–NB’s efforts to maximize aid opportunities and minimize students’ cost of attendance over their academic career. Serves as a critical liaison to the Rutgers-wide Enrollment Management team and advises senior administrators in formulating, interpreting, and implementing financial aid policies for RU–NB. Educates leadership on current and evolving financial aid regulations and institutional policies, impact to Rutgers University, and recommends effective options and solutions. Works closely with University Enrollment Services to ensure policy and procedural interpretations are consistent. Ensures regulatory compliance with determining financial aid awarding guidelines. Maintains internal controls, systems, and procedures and establishes policies for RU – NB institutional need-based aid programs and scholarships to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Applies leading-edge technologies and practices such as financial aid/scholarship leveraging to refine and implement financial aid/scholarship packaging policies to attract and retain students. Uses research and data to analyze and evaluate the impact of financial aid and scholarships on enrollment goals. Consults with leadership to provide vision and direction for the university’s enrollment management activities while managing a high-volume financial aid operation. Compiles and reports data for internal and external requests and requirements. Interacts closely with college deans, student services directors, as well as coordinates Rutgers-wide initiatives. Develops unified forms and electronic systems to enhance virtual and physical student services in collaboration with OIT.
