Job Description

Visa USA Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Director (multiple openings) in San Francisco, CA to:

Research and analyze Global industry trends, competitive landscape, and business requirements to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities for the company and company’s clients.Review current and evaluate new flows for the Products and Solutions, by doing research for market positioning, and creating new use cases and prototypes, writing the product requirements, and clearly outlining to the Engineering teams and the Business teams the final solution, with details of the investment required and the return on investment prior to ensuring the project delivery including the go-to-market (GTM) elements of global product launch.Develop strategic and tactical product concepts that satisfy customer’s business requirements and drive results and business value on defined KPIs and OKRs.Form overall Product Commercialization strategy, including target clients, local resourcing, governance, and local product requirements, sales enablement, global distribution, and trainings.Conduct full review of the current complex B2B payment network solutions, issuance, and acceptance solutions with the objective of enhancing the product offering, while ensuring full compliance with global and local regulations, and determining  product-market fit of Visa products in global markets, revenue potential, timing, global and country level regulatory considerations and key market assumptions/risks, and local pricing customizations.Research what products and solutions look like in different regions globally (North America, South America, European Union, UK, Central Europe Middle East and Africa) and investigate the best third-party solutions companies to partner with in each region that have relevant sector level experience and data, for Visa to have country level expertise and data sets to work with, to ensure Visa has the best solutions, and simplifying the on-going partner management to reduce costs via performance reviews, proof of concepts, and running the RFI/RFP to select the best suited partners.Follow an agile methodology to planning, prioritization and development, and develop prototypes and launch pilots with regional and global clients.Define OKRs and determine product market fit from pilot launches, feasibility, and scalability.Resolve issues/blockers, and ensure all requirements are met to enable new client pilots/launches.Work with technology partners to determine and find solutions as to how Visa’s complex B2B payment network solutions, issuance and acceptance products interact with their respective solutions and platforms. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of product-related objects, and plan project stages and assess the business implications for each stage.Domestic and international travel required 5-10% of the time.Position reports to the San Francisco, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.Position has one direct report who holds the job title: Senior Product Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, followed by 12 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a product manager-related occupation. Alternatively, Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a product manager-related occupation.Working with Global clients (e.g., Banks and Financial Institutions, Payments/Financial Technology Firms - FinTechs, Payment Networks, Acquirers and Issuers of Payments Cards or other Payments Form Factors) in developing and managing Products and Solutions, Product Strategy, and Product Commercialization plans for new Global Technology or Payments Technology Products.Designing Global product roadmap and defining product features based on business requirements and company OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).Translating business and risk requirements into product strategy, product development, and product delivery plans by conceptualizing, writing requirements, designing products and solutions that address the needs of global payment clients and ecosystem.Defining ROI and product KPIs for products, partners, and clients. Managing complex, cross-functional projects across internal and external organizations globally, with client and partner management for onboarding of partners/clients, developing proof of concepts, and conducting partner performance reviews, to ensure desired product delivery and product performance.

Worksite: San Francisco, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel required 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $252,699.00 USD to $262,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
