This UK practice has a rare opening for a Director of Commercial office in its London studio. The position will see you build and lead a team of highly skilled architects and designers while representing the practice in the marketplace to win work and deliver internationally significant projects of scale, for blue chip developers and investors, with a specific focus on lab enabled workplaces.
This is an exciting opening for a client facing Architectural Director to lead on large and exciting projects across the UK. In this role you would operate as an ambassador for the practice with responsibility for generating fee income and will join the practices UK management team. You would be responsible for setting the agenda to drive work winning, creative and delivery processes, while facilitating and championing innovation and research.
This renowned practice would like to receive candidates from diverse experience backgrounds. You will need to have assembled a portfolio showcasing ‘architectural excellence’ of acclaimed design projects. Sectors would ideally include experience across commercial office, education, and lab enabled office developments. The role will require travel predominantly to service and build client relationships across the UK. The remuneration package is strong and aligned with the role as a senior practice leader. Key responsibilities
•    Drive design excellence and work winning.
•    Manage several projects and teams concurrently.
•    To work within the senior leadership team across the practice.
•    Be responsible for fees/resourcing/practice management duties.
•    Client engagement, business development and marketing strategy.

Skills and experience
•    Fully qualified architect with Part III.
•    Commercial office and lab enabled office market knowledge.
•    Experience running large projects and teams.
•    Servicing large & interesting clients and winning significant work.
•    Excellent communication skills and proven experience of mentoring and      developing your team.
