Global Transaction Banking technology team focuses on delivering top tier technology solutions to enable and grow the global GTB business.
Job Details
TDS has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation of GTB in order to position the transaction bank as a leading North American multi-currency treasury provider, enabling significant business growth across the TDS franchise. This role presents an opportunity to lead the build-out of the next-generation of GTB’s transaction banking capabilities in order to (i) extend a highly successful GTB business into the US; and (ii) to future-proof business with a platform that can evolve at minimal cost as client and industry needs & expectations continue to evolve.
Director – GTB Technology Product Delivery is senior role that is responsible for thought leadership, oversight and management of the technology delivery related to global transaction banking within TD Securities. This role requires deep knowledge and expertise in transaction banking technology platforms, systems, and processes. Successfully candidate to this role will ensure effective implementation, scaling and functioning of transaction banking technology products, enable smooth operations and optimal customer experience.
Job Requirements
+ Develop and implement technology product strategies and roadmaps for global transaction banking, aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product managers, developers, and operations teams, to define requirements and priorities for transaction banking technology products.
+ Lead the design and development of transaction banking technology solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies in global transaction banking, recommending innovative solutions to enhance product offerings.
+ Provide subject matter expertise on transaction banking technology products, serving as a key resource for internal teams, clients, and external partners.
+ Lend subject matter expertise to monitor and assess the performance of transaction banking technology products, analyzing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
+ Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams to ensure transaction banking technology products adhere to regulatory requirements and security protocols.
+ Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to transaction banking technology products, including selection, negotiation, and ongoing oversight.
+ Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and advancements in transaction banking technology, proactively identifying opportunities and risks for the organization.
+ Lead and participate in cross-functional projects related to transaction banking technology, ensuring timely delivery and effective implementation.
+ Conduct user acceptance testing and provide feedback on transaction banking technology products to ensure usability, functionality, and reliability.
+ Support sales and marketing teams in promoting transaction banking technology products to clients and prospects, providing technical expertise and demonstrations as needed.
+ Collaborate with training and support teams to develop comprehensive training materials and documentation for transaction banking technology products.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
+ Collaborate with senior management to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for transaction banking technology products, reporting on progress and achievements.
+ Familiarity with GTB Technology vendor solutions Finacle and iGTB(Intellect) a significant advantage.
+ Deep understanding of global transaction banking processes, systems, and technology platforms.
+ Proficiency in transaction banking technology products, such as payment processing systems, cash management solutions, trade finance platforms, and treasury management systems.
+ Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in transaction banking technology, including SWIFT messaging, ISO 20022, and regulatory compliance.
+ Experience in product delivery or product ownership roles, with a track record of successfully launching and managing technology products.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and provide practical solutions.
+ Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
+ Good understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy principles as they relate to transaction banking technology.
Qualifications
+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science or Finance required
+ 12+ years related experience required
+ Global Transaction Banking domain expertise required
+ Demonstrated excellent management, organizational and leadership skills required
+ Proven ability to manage large and complex projects simultaneously required
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required
+ Technical knowledge of technology in capital markets required
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making
+ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal

The Director - Tech Solutions TDS Management builds and maintains strong business relationship with assigned clients / internal partners and provides direction and guidance on optimal technology solutions/services to meet business needs. The position generally manages a varied team of IT professionals and bridges the gap between the business and technology, and leverages resources across functional or specialized technology areas to ensure end to end delivery of agreed upon solutions or services within planned forecasts / cost estimates. Role generally supports a significant Business area, Product Group, Enterprise Platform, Service or Capability within a Segment CIO or Functional area.
