ROLE OVERIVEW

The role will support the Head of PCS Accounting in the delivery of accounting services for JTC PCS Division. This will involve ongoing support, process improvement and strategic projects for the existing portfolio of accounting work as well as active involvement in any future M&A related accounting integration projects.  This role will also include working with at least one of our largest clients and the JTC service team in respect of the delivery of accounting services.

You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the direction, planning and execution of the Client Accounting Operational priorities.  This work can be extremely varied but will include business process and system improvements, project management and delivery, M&A related Integration projects in addition to ongoing day to day operational support across multiple outsourced accounting teams.

This is a key role working with the team to deliver services to our largest accounting client. This will involve day to day project oversight, process review and improvements and ongoing project management. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

To provide senior level leadership in respect of Client Accounting services and to implement and manage effective delivery of all Client Accounting Services to a high standard within agreed timeline.
To lead the service delivery for our largest client accounting engagements, through working collaboratively with the cross jurisdictional service delivery team and the client to facilitate optimal client service delivery.
To review existing accounting and related operational activities for operational effectiveness and efficiency.Where improvements are required to work with all relevant stakeholders to design and fully implement solutions, which need to be supported by operational guidance and training prior to implementation.
To work on ad-hoc accounting services projects as required, taking a lead role in the project management and overseeing effective project delivery.
To develop strong, collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.To work closely with all team and project stakeholders to ensure sharing of key knowledge and minimisation of duplication of effort.
To perform a leading role in the accounting integration of newly acquired businesses to ensure consistent working practices, working closely with other operational departments including HR, IT, Premises, Finance and Marketing.
Lead, coach and develop more junior team members in line with the Performance Management Framework.
Manage performance against agreed targets, timelines and budgets, thus ensuring the division’s key projects and operational performance targets are achieved.
Deputise in the absence of the Head of Client Accounting.
Adhere to Risk & Compliance procedures in relation to regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
Uphold the Group’s policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.
Adhere to CPD requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures.
Adhere to JTC core values and guiding principles.
Ensure that the spirit of JTC is engendered and shared within the Group.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE.
Proven operational experience in a multi-jurisdictional financial services organisation.
“Hands-on” project management experience of delivering projects across a global network within a commercial environment.
Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
Ability to effectively manage complexity, i.e. multiple stakeholders, timelines and projects.
Self-motivated, used to working in a “hands-on” role and an ambassador for continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Highly developed management and team/project leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Working knowledge of risk related matters in an operational context.
Strong administration and organisational skills.
Experienced user of Microsoft applications.
Working knowledge of Alteryx and PowerBI (or similar software) would be advantageous but is not essential.
