ABS Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Process Safety Management (PSM) Director to support our Process Safety Management and Risk Management consulting practice. With a proven track record of delivering exceptional results, the ideal candidate will leverage their 15+ years of consulting experience to drive revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and provide strategic leadership and customer development.

What You Will Do:

Individuals in this position will primarily be responsible for driving the success of ABS Consulting’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management consulting practice by achieving annual revenue targets of $3M through identifying opportunities, winning new business, and expanding existing client engagements. The role includes cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships. The individual will provide strategic leadership for the PSM practice, including business development, project execution, and team leadership, while delivering high-quality consulting services in Health & Safety, Process Safety Management, and Risk Management to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Individuals in this position will also serve as subject matter expert for technical services provided to clients.  This includes developing and advancing services, providing technical expertise to project teams, and business development teams. This position also includes maintaining relationships with clients and key decision makers to help identify follow-on business opportunities and maintain customer intelligence.

Revenue Generation: Achieve annual revenue targets of $3M by identifying opportunities, winning new business, and expanding existing client engagements Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction for the PSM practice, including business development, project execution, and team leadership Technical Expertise: Deliver high-quality consulting services in Health & Safety, Process Safety Management, and Risk Management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and drive operational excellence

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

15+ years of consulting experience in Health & Safety, Process Safety Management, and Risk Management Strong client network and relationship-building skills Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred) Experience participating in and/or leading PHAs, LOPAs, PSM and/or RMP compliance audits Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, specialty chemical, and/or pharmaceutical  industries

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of consulting experience in Health & Safety, Process Safety Management, and Risk Management Excellent skills in facilitating group meetings and engaging teams  The ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written means, and able to adapt communication to best reach the intended audience within or outside the organization  Willing to travel to assignments Proficient or adept at learning to conduct client team meetings “remotely” via Web (TEAMS, WebEx, etc.) Knowledge of department related technical disciplines and technical products and services provided to clients.  The human relations skills necessary to maintain positive client contacts and to provide leadership and motivation to subordinate staff and peers

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to Director level position or above.
