The Director of Support Services ICPH leads and coordinates business planning and strategic development for Inova Health System’s Central Region. Implements priorities through programmatic planning, care model standardization/improvements, design optimization, and operational improvements. Ensures the integration and alignment of system standards and priorities while providing leadership in decision-making and the change management process. Supports facility operations for ICPH, ensuring that all EOC related regulatory metrics are achieved. Continually improves performance of services which support patients, visitors, staff and the physical environment of ICPH by supporting the Engineering, Environmental Services, Food Services, Patient Transport, Security, Parking, Safety and Volunteer Services. Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, etc. through a robust and effective Environment of Care (EOC) Committee.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and manages strategic programming and execution leveraging a strong knowledge base and expertise.Drives successful planning and execution of business development activities across multiple work streams while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of all programs and projects. Exhibits outstanding collaboration and teamwork skills with diverse groups of people to successfully accomplish strategic goals. Exhibits excellent project management and organizational skills to facilitate the design and execution of Inova Health System's strategic priorities.Organizes and presents information to targeted audiences demonstrating excellent verbal/written communication skills and excellent computer skills.Provides regular executive briefings and engages senior leadership to drive effective decision-making.Leads the development and implementation of Eastern Region strategy deployments.In collaboration with service line leaders, identifies and prioritizes new business opportunities. Develops strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with business unit executives, service line leaders, and system executives. Ensures that proper approval processes are followed.Assists in decision-making around operational elements of the Eastern Region strategy deployment.Partners with hospital and system-wide finance teams in financial modeling for new services and facilities.Coordinates information to key stakeholders in the system of care for the Eastern Region.Monitors trends within service lines, market factors, technology trends and other drivers of growth to deliver optimal care delivery models. Leverages process improvement skills to ensure that processes implemented are efficient and centered around transformational care.Oversees Central Region development to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, preparing and implementing business strategy to achieve the organization’s goals, ensuring legal compliance, communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, managing employment decisions and contributions of supporting team members, and managing departmental budget and fiscal success.Supports effective performance of ICPH operations, which may include but not limited to, preparing and implementing business strategy to achieve the organization’s goals, ensuring legal compliance, communicating and collaborating with stakeholders.Increases user satisfaction survey score to prescribed annual target.Completes high priority work orders for the same day of issue as defined by annual target. Maintains backlog of standard work orders to less than agreed level.

Certification in relevant areas, such as Lean Six Sigma, Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).Experience in healthcare support services, such as facilities management, environmental services, food and nutrition services, or patient transport.Experience in implementing operational efficiency programs and quality improvement initiatives.
