Your New Role…
The Director, Studio Business Operations will be a key member of our animation studios team at Warner Bros. Animation and will report to the VP, Studio Business Operations & Strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic and operational initiatives for the studio, including greenlight analyses, business case development, management of BU processes & reporting, and creation of executive decks & presentations. This role carries significant responsibility for executing studios goals and exercising strategic thinking and creative excellence.
The ideal candidate should have excellent business and financial acumen, be able to flourish in ambiguous situations, and impose structure across projects. They should have excellent leadership, diplomacy, and communication skills, be collaborative, and able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders across both creative and business functions.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Strategy & Studio Planning
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on strategic programs, planning, resource allocation, and other ad-hoc projects to support studio businesses, solve issues and drive growth.
Partners with the VP to support the creation of studio overview documents, regular business update decks, and strategy/meeting materials for WBD senior leadership teams.
Represent the studios in studio-wide collaborations and processes and help lead the execution and rollout of new efforts.
Business Operations
Supports greenlight processes, including content planning, pro forma modeling, and interdepartmental coordination.
Oversee show databases, internal content/metadata processes, and execution of recurring financial and operational reporting for the business unit.
Partner with finance to understand and communicate title and business performance and execute strategies to manage and grow the studios.
Establish, track and manage department budgets and oversee adoption of processes to manage spend and communicate progress.
Studio Operations
Support in the planning and execution of studio events, activities, and other employee engagement efforts.
Be creative and entrepreneurial, constantly think about new ways to improve overall studio operations, growth, and employee/artist happiness.
Take lead on ad hoc special projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience…
Work Experience
6+ years of in strategy/operations, consulting, or general management, preferably with previous entertainment experience.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
Bachelor’s degree required
MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
Experience in animation production or television production preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Strong modeling and deck building skills.
Expertise in Keynote/PPT, Excel and database tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
A solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with several deliverables under tight deadlines.
Operational rigor combined with excellent business acumen, problem solving, project management and analytical skills.
Strong written and oral communications skills as well as ability to effectively influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
Enjoy both strategic, big picture thinking and rolling up your sleeves to execute / operationalize with great attention to detail.
Experience managing people and leading teams in matrixed environments.
Self-starter who welcomes ambiguity and can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
Resourceful, mature, collaborative, and demonstrated strong leadership.
The individual needs to be coachable with a growth mindset be proactive in taking initiative on tasks and projects and enjoys taking on new challenges and learning opportunities.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $123,900.00 - $230,100.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
