Responsible for executing against GPO performance objectives for a set group of highly engaged strategic customers within a region 

Key Responsibilities

Works directly with C suite and physicians to build strategic plans that align with the practice goals and the economic success of the GPO contracts availableDrives strategic initiatives and delivers results for membersIdentifies success factors and strategies to drive enhanced performance on the contract portfolioInterprets builds and delivers economic comparisons for understanding contract landscape and full optimization opportunityResponsible for Optimization activity that deliver against those objectives for engaged strategic customersExecutes against quarterly Coordinated Aggregate buy-in strategies working with multiple groups to ensure success Builds content for and delivers Quarterly Business Reviews  Leads complex projects to improve value, innovate offerings, streamline efficiencies, and improve customer experienceWorks collaboratively with Sales, Clinical Specialist Teams, MID, and other internal stakeholders to drive contract performance and provider engagement with the GPO Services businessPartners with Business Development Directors to provide contract insights to our biopharma partnersDevelops and Coaches new & tenured sales teams on GPO market landscape and dynamicsSupports Regional distribution sales in new business development and retention effortsEngages and provides market insights in manufacturer meetings.    Presents to small and large groups on GPO strategies and market dynamics

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelors degree required (in Business, Management Science, Mathematics or Economics)

Critical Skills 

7+ years relevant healthcare experience3+ years sales, consulting or provider engagement experience preferred5+ years of experience in leadership, business analysis, and strategy development in management consulting, technology, or consumer-packaged goods environment.Previous Group Purchasing Organization experience is a plusHealthcare experience required, specifically Oncology experience highly preferredAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredStrong service selling, service delivery and client relationship skills. 

  

 Additional Skills

Previous experience working with or for pharmaceutical manufacturers is a plusLeadership skills with experience working in matrix organizationStrong project leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impactProven ability to establish, enhance and manage customer relationships and leverage those relationships to drive revenue and profit.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$97,800 - $163,000
