The Director of Sales – Northeast is responsible for the creation and execution of strategies aimed to drive incremental business opportunities within the Commercial Paper sales channel while delivering on existing customer commitments. She/he will identify new opportunities and pitch new product concepts with large national accounts, including but not limited to supermarkets, convenience stores, club channels, and food processors.
This position will report to the Sr. Director, Commercial Sales East, and work in close collaboration with our regional Commercial and Foodservice sales teams, Marketing, R&;D, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and HR. She/he will lead a team of Territory Managers and Broker Partners who have direct and indirect responsibility for specific customers.
Key Responsibilities
Owns the strategy for Commercial paper business throughout the Northeast. Responsible for Sales Managers directly reporting to the Northeast. Oversee region of commercial paper business strategy and implementation. Partners with Regional Sales Directors and Managers to execute a strategic roadmap for National Accounts within the Commercial channel in their respective areas, exceeding annual growth targets, including margin improvement. Foster a high-performing, metrics-driven sales culture by developing and implementing an integrated sales cadence, forecasting process, and operating plan. Develop and cultivate key relationships within the assigned channels, focusing on top-to-top relationships with growth-oriented customers on incremental volume.\n
Critical Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline 10+ years’ sales experience in a related or relevant industry; food packaging preferred 5+ years’ experience leading other sales professionals and strategy development Skilled in the use of the Micro-Soft Office suite of products.
