JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Company as the Director, Risk Management - Insurance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization identifies, assesses, and mitigates all insurable risks across the business.

The Director, Risk Management is responsible for identifying exposures to risk of loss arising out of the Company’s operations and developing and directing strategies to eliminate or minimize financial impact. The role will serve as the primary key liaison to our insurance brokers, attorneys, insurance companies, and key management stakeholders. This position requires exceptional analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to our internal risk management insurance team and external resources, as applicable.

This role will be based out of FOX’s Los Angeles Office and will report to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Audit & Risk Management, who is based in New York. 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily management of the Company’s insurance programs strategyServe as the primary broker relationship contactManage overall insurance-based activities to ensure coordination across the various business stakeholdersManage and continue to enhance the Company’s comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organizationAnalyze and evaluate potential risks related to operations, projects, investments, and other activitiesMonitor existing risk management policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date, as well as performing periodic policy assessments to ensure insurance coverage provides comprehensive risk management for the businessCollaborate with business units to identify and evaluate risk exposure and develop strategies to minimize potential risksPerform risk assessments, including the identification and assessment of emerging risks and determination of related insurance needsEstablish key risk indicators and develop monitoring mechanisms to ensure early detection and adequate response to risksOversee and manage the risk management team, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills and capabilitiesConduct regular risk reporting to senior management, highlighting key risks, trends, and recommended actionsDevelop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including brokers, insurance providers, auditors, and attorneysCoordinate safety and loss prevention services, especially those provided by insurance companies, with those provided by Environmental Health and Safety

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field15+ years of experience in risk managementStrong knowledge of risk management - insurance principles, methodologies, and best practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend appropriate actionsStrong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams (utilizing both internal and/or external resources)Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex risk concepts to a variety of stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively and influence across different levels of the organization

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

Master’s degree10+ years of experience in a leadership positionExperience and knowledge supporting Media and Entertainment industryProfessional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $161,000.00-200,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
