About the team
FIS’ Capital Markets segment serves investment banks, investment managers, securities and trading firms, corporations and insurance companies, and more. Our solutions provide for the full transaction processing lifecycle, risk management and compliance across multiple asset classes and lending structures. Spanning both the Sell and Buy side of the financial services industry, we enable our solutions through our managed and professional services offerings.
FIS’ Capital Markets Services offers a full range of consulting, professional and managed services with a global reach. Our offerings range from standardized services to helping existing customers maximize their experience with FIS solutions to ad hoc services such as project management, business consulting and custom application development.
What you will be doing
As a Director within our EMEA Cleared Derivatives and Post-Trade Professional Services business, you will partner with our clients, overseeing a portfolio of projects and managing the Professional Services customer relationship to ensure success.
• Lead Cleared Derivatives and Post-trade business consulting team projects and strategy to effectively execute business plan
• Devise and/or modify processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies with client scoping’s and other consulting engagements
• Work with key FIS channel relationships such as sales, relationship management, product management, business unit management and others ensuring continued collaboration to drive results for Practice
• Develop consulting offerings to address opportunities
• Work with consulting management team, program/project managers and client relationship managers to identify type of business resources needed. Assembles teams qualified to perform work and financially aligned with project budget and schedule plans. May work closely with program/project manager during project initiation to define scope and understand type, quantity and timing of resources needed
• Responsible for forecasting and managing/communicating business metrics to senior management
• Ensure generated revenue meets or exceeds plan for FIS Consulting Services Business
• Ensure consulting engagements provide excellent client satisfaction and client loyalty
• Provide resources with right expertise to meet business needs and manage external relationships creating a flexible staffing alternative for peak demand times
• Ensure effective utilization of resources on billable projects, asset development, sales support and thought leadership
• Nurture relationships, defines consulting engagements to support relationship needs and sells the initiative
• Willing to travel 30% (or as needed)
What you bring
• Broad knowledge of financial services software implementations, regulatory requirements, financial institution operations, and risk management as well as extensive experience of working, and leading teams, in an IT Consulting/Professional Services business
• Ability to build relationships with C-level management, peers and others
• Listening skills and ability to ensure open and candid two-way communication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project management, productivity, planning, and workload management skills
• Negotiation skills regarding complex issues
