The Work You'll Do:

The Director, Indirect Tax Product Marketing will drive the positioning, messaging, content, and GTM motions for the Indirect Tax solutions at Sovos. The product marketing team at Sovos is very content focused, and this person will need to be a content contributor in addition to a manager. The indirect tax lead will have product and content remit for Sovos determination solutions for Value Added Tax and Sales and Use Tax, reporting and filing, and e-invoicing.  You will also manage a team that focuses on our Indirect Tax solutions. 

More specifically you will:

Lead a global team of product marketers focused on Sovos’ indirect tax solutions, including VAT, SUT and e-invoicing Conceive, develop, and write core product positioning and messaging, sales play development, and competitive intelligence assets, and manage your team in support of creating those assets as well Partner closely with RevOps & Enablement to operationalize plays, content, and training. Partner with demand gen team on indirect tax campaign strategy and target audiences Drive GTM org strategy on key personas, sales motions, pricing & packaging, and launches for indirect tax Develop content, tools, assets needed to generate and convert pipeline on an ongoing basis for sales. Partner with content marketing directors to create published research, surveys, pillar content, and demonstrations, accelerating the awareness and demand for the indirect tax products in-market and help accelerate conversion down funnel Develop and own a cross-functional cadence for major product launches

 What We Ask From You

7+ years experience in product marketing  Strong writing and storytelling skills, both as an individual contributor as well as in helping bring strong content out of your team Examples in developing target persona strategies and partnering on demand generation plans with growth marketing teams High comfort level working with data, especially Salesforce data, to analyze and better understand sales and product performance in-market Deep experience in working cross-functionally across marketing, sales and product management to triangulate, develop and execute a strong GTM strategy Background in tax and compliance technology is appreciated, but not required Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
