+ **Category** Project / Program Management
**Job Description**
Are you ready to demonstrate your digital product leadership experience to shape the future of our Play Experiences and Product Lifecycle Management (PELM) at The LEGO Group?
We are seeking a top-tier professional with a wealth of experience (and probably some battle scars) from working with existing PLM systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of various PLM vendors, in different consumer goods categories and be knowledgeable about modern approaches to federated PLM ecosystems and digital threads. This Product Leader role is essential to our operationalizing our future PLM ecosystem and will be working closely with our newly appointed Head of Business PELM to upgrade our core capabilities, from that of a standard physical consumer product supply chain towards a more flexible and scalable physical and digital ‘experience’ provider!
**Core Responsibilities**
+ **Lead and Mentor:**
Guide a new team of three platform-focused product managers (across 3 primary teams covering our Masterdata, BOM and ECM capabilities). Support their development, lead performance, and champion a culture that encourages pro-active up-skilling, fast discovery, and a bias to experimentation, delivery and continuous improvement,
+ **Product Coaching:**
Empower product managers to lead teams in discovering, developing, and launching industry-leading products and features. Ensure continuity of the existing portfolio while unlocking growth in emerging physical and digital product lines.
+ **Vision and Strategy:**
Co-develop product vision and strategy (in partnership with the Head of the PELM program) and align with business goals, address internal needs across divisions, and incorporates market analysis and best industry practices. Facilitate scaling across territories and customization for our portfolio, manufacturing plants, and distribution centres.
+ **Collaboration:**
Partner with engineering, design, and business leaders to accelerate digital transformation. Align roles, responsibilities, and strategic roadmaps to drive priorities and transformation, and encourage high velocity and "‘flow’ or equivalent experience" in the teams.
+ **Advocacy:**
Promote the upgrade of our PLM ecosystem within the business. Champion the need for a standardized, ontology-inspired architectural foundation and supporting ‘digital thread’ that allows customization without accruing technical debt.
+ **Decision Making:**
Help evaluate 'build versus buy' decisions, balancing vendor interoperability, talent availability, and concerns about enterprise package lock-ins.
+ **Leadership Contribution:**
Actively contribute to the product leadership team by shaping the organization, building capabilities, removing obstacles, and fostering a collaborative environment.
**Play your part in our team succeeding**
This role is integral to our global Digital Product organization sitting within Innovation Engagement team (and will work directly alongside 2 other Product Leaders focusing on enabling Product Development functions at the LEGO Group). You will also work across our extended digital ecosystem—collaborating with product colleagues in Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Retail, and more—to ensure the full LEGO product lifecycle is considered and represented in our roadmap. Reporting to the Head of Product, and working closely with the Head of PELM Program, you'll balance hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to accelerate the development of the future ecosystem, always focusing on data and the cross-business lifecycle experience..
This new Product Leader role is pivotal to ensuring our next generation PLM systems can handle all the complexities and variables that come with multiple factories, different market needs and new play experiences that bridge physical and digital worlds and infuse traditional sets with electronic enabled interactive play.
**Do you have what it takes?**
+ Proven experience in the Consumer Products Supply Chain or PLM sectors.
+ Proven leadership in product management and agile development, with a track record of guiding teams through discovery, launch, and performance improvement.
+ Ability to build and lead high-performing teams, inspiring and empowering them to achieve shared goals.
+ Experience in driving ground-breaking change, enhancing collaboration between teams, and anticipating the organisational change impact before it becomes an issue
+ Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating problems and solutions clearly.
+ Strong networking and partner leadership skills
+ Experience of working in a Matrix organisation
+ Working experience of at least two of the main PLM technology vendors (Ideally SAP, Oracle, Siemens, PTC or similar) is desirable
+ Understanding of micro-electronics and/or Internet of Things engineering and manufacturing processes
+ Knowledge of Circular PLM systems and how Sustainability data can be incorporated into the Flow of Goods
+ Experience of ECM across different factory set-ups, incorporating more human-supported assembly lines and heavily automated robotic plants.
