Capture and Analyze Data related to the incoming study process including proper costing, communication, coordination, and scheduling. Make recommendations to maximize occupancy, revenue, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Costing/Pricing

Create, Implement, and maintain tools such as those related to costing, pricing, discount selection and margin assurance. Conduct detailed analysis of data in the tools, backlog, and revenue projections to recommend guidelines for strategic and dynamic pricing.Create and implement a dynamic pricing tool to provide insight to Ops and Commercial team in terms of pricing strategies/scenarios, revenue and margin impact, and discount recommendations with sensitivity analysis.Collaborate with DSA Accounting team and ensure the pricing tool is up to date with the costing tool.Maintain a volume- and win rate-based sales forecasting tool to identify potential revenue gaps and engage Commercial team to drive preventative actions.Provide input to FP&A team to assist with AOP process and drive accuracy in revenue forecasting.

 

 

Scheduling

Create, Implement, and maintain tools related to system wide scheduling. Create, Implement and maintain strategic scheduling initiative guidelines related to study booking, double booking, bumping and study selection In order to maximize capacity utilization/revenue across the businessPartner with Technical departments to maintain macro schedule for the entire facility for both vivarium and lab science functions.Identify study scheduling scenarios which result in increased room, personnel, and equipment utility.Analyze data to create a dashboard used to provide weekly updates, follow-up, and resolutions to outstanding pre-study logistic deliverables that may impact the study schedule or cause slippage. Monitor and determine appropriate labor levels and utilization to ensure maximum capacity.

 Efficiency/Profitability

Perform process analysis on a wide variety of projects.Create and monitor procedural metrics to determine accuracy and relevance to study type and operational processes.  Work through data collection and analysis as part of the collaboration infrastructure that allows idea submission, participation and updates on initiatives for the improvement and optimization of incoming study logistics and profitable study execution.Perform and interpret analysis to recommend opportunities to management related to costing, pricing and scheduling to ensure maximum utilization of resources (Physical and Human) and profitability.Work across departments and sites to help the development and communication of business-wide systems, SOPs, policies and procedures, as appropriate.Lead site resources to solve key business issues and implement targeted solutions using problem-solving methodologies, where appropriate.Conduct problem solving and analysis of data.  Influence and effectively interact with all levels within the business. Maintain projects on-time, managing expectations and risk, and monitoring post-implementation benefits.

 

Accountabilities

Create tools to support Executive Leadership in understanding cost components and site level margin impact to enable effective decision making. Optimize Safety Assessment capacity utilization Improve DSA win rate. Qualifications Bachelor’s in business or equivalent degree.  Five year of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in finance/operationsFinance background and extensive understanding of financial metricsAdvanced data analytics skillsGood communicator and comfortable working across functions and levelsAbility to influence others and drive changes

 

 

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
