About the Role

The Director Operations, Site, drives the Global HARMAN Automotive Supply Chain and Operations execution in the site(s), securing the timely delivery of innovative, excellent, cost optimized products to the customers in a context of continuous technology and process improvement, and with an engaged workforce. The role contributes to the overall success of HARMAN as a tech company by optimizing the end-to-end delivery and manufacturing delivery of the site, innovating, and improving processes, engaging in excellent relations with the authorities and the community, and motivating and developing employees.


Your Team

All manufacturing functions in the site report to this role. The role leads functional departments in the matrix such as Finance, Quality, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Legal.

What You Will Do

The Director Operations, site, helps drive the HARMAN Automotive Operations strategy for the site and executes the strategy in the site. The leader is responsible for growing the business for the site, by maximizing operational footprint and capital; optimizing technology in alignment with AME global standards; executing with zero quality defects and reduction of cost of quality, cycle time, yield improvements, across multiple technologies and production solutions; contributing to the overall end-to-end flawless HARMAN results.The Director deals with relationships with global and local stakeholders, HARMAN Automotive management, OEMs, Governments, Regulatory Authorities, Sustainability leaders, third parties, suppliers, sales and R&D teams, in alignment with the VP, Operations, Country/ Region or Sr. Dir., SitesThis role executes a vision and purpose, communicate it, and direct all the functions engineering, development, sales, procurement, quality, operational excellence, HR, finance, IT and manufacturing, to develop the plant’s operational and manufacturing strategy, and execute it.The Director Operations, site, is in charge of developing, leading, keeping safe, and growing a large, world-class organization in an inclusive manner, motivating staff while optimizing costs, and driving a HARMAN Production Systems manufacturing culture, in the siteThe leader will coach the site department leaders where appropriate in challenging current and future issues that require resourcefulness, creative thinking, collaboration, often with less than complete information

What You Need

Degree in Engineering. Additional degree in Business administration is a plusExpertise in Automotive electronics end to end supply chain and production technology and planningMore than 15 years of experience in strategic, financial, and people leadership of large operationsStrong leader, capable of articulating a vision and guide transformation, influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels

What Makes You Eligible
