What will you do? 

A day in the life of a Director of People Communications at VF looks a little like this. 

You are responsible for the strategic direction and overall effectiveness of the People communications function. This role will lead the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement, align with organizational goals, and promote a positive workplace culture. This role involves collaborating with members of the People Leadership Team to craft and disseminate key messages, managing internal communication channels, and overseeing the creation of content that supports People programs and initiatives.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. 

Develop and implement comprehensive People communication strategies that fit within a broader internal communications strategy.Collaborate and write for senior People leadership to ensure alignment of communication efforts with organizational and functional objectives.Keen editorial and storytelling skills to bring people and organizational stories to life.Oversee the creation and distribution of internal communications, including organizational and leadership announcements, programmatic and project-based communications and ad hoc assignments as needed.Contribute content to internal communication channelsLead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace cultureProvide guidance and support to People teams on communication best practices.Use metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, channels and outcomes to influence and improve outcomes.Ensure consistency and clarity in all People-related communications.Lead and mentor the People communications team.

What do you need to succeed? 

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, you will bring a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in People communications or a related role.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

Experience in a corporate or large organizational setting. Open to agency experience as well.Excellent influencing skills and comfortable working with senior leadershipComfortable working in fast -paced, corporate environmentKnowledge of graphic design and multimedia tools.Strong leadership and project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Experience with internal communication tools and platforms.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience working with outside agency and vendors.

Location requirement: Hybrid work environment with expectation of 3 days in the office (Denver, CO). This role will require less than 10% travel time

Hiring Range:

$139,104.00 USD - $173,880.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
