As the Director, Partnership Growth, you will be a player and a coach on the team, who is responsible for onboarding and growing DigitalOcean’s business with existing technology partners. You will own the ongoing relationships with a broad set of partners, who power critical DigitalOcean products and create a rich set of developer-centric solutions through DigitalOcean’s marketplace.

What You’ll Do: Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to onboard new technology partners and identify growth opportunities with existing technology partners. Collaborate closely with Marketing teams to craft compelling developer oriented content highlighting the value of DigitalOcean’s technology partners and the strength of our joint solutions.  Grow the commercial value of DigitalOcean’s technology partnerships by being the primary point of contact and business owner for technology partners, who enhance our platform's capabilities and market reach. Project manage and own all aspects of the ongoing engagement between internal and external stakeholders in our technology partnerships. Analyze the ongoing performance of each partnership and drive the appropriate actions needed to further grow and expand each partnership. Manage and renegotiate renewal of partnership agreements spanning across OEM, marketplace and one of a kind business models.  Expand the Partner Growth team to create a high performing team focused on bringing developer centric solutions to market that brings value to DigitalOcean’s users. What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean: Demonstrated experience in developing and managing successful strategic technology partnerships at similar developer-focused technology companies, particularly in the AI/ML and cloud computing space. Proven negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills that allow you to comfortably interact with and influence senior executives including VP and C-suite stakeholders.  Strong technical background with a deep understanding of the developer ecosystem and a passion for making developers successful. Experience building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Strategic thinker with the ability to align partnership initiatives with overall business objectives and drive measurable outcomes. Experience with or knowledge of AI/ML technologies and Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) offerings is highly desirable. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Partner Net Promoter Score (NPS): Assess partner satisfaction and loyalty, reflecting the health and mutual benefit of our partnership relationships. Developer Adoption Rate of Partner Solutions: Measure the uptake and usage of partner-provided solutions by our developer community, demonstrating the value and relevance of our partnerships. Time-to-Value for New Partnerships: Assess the efficiency in onboarding new partners and bringing their solutions to market, ensuring quick value realization for both partners and DigitalOcean. Impact on Developer Satisfaction: Evaluate how partnerships contribute to overall developer satisfaction and retention on the DigitalOcean platform. While the philosophy around our benefits is the same worldwide, specific benefits may vary based on local regulations and preferences. We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $220,000 - $255,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
