Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Director, Operations and Optimization to join our Life Sciences Facilities Management Team. In this role, you will manage daily commercial janitorial operations and transitions, assist with hard services, be responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize processes that help drive organic growth. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will provide client-focused solutions and conduct operational triage to resolve issues efficiently. Your role will include deployment of standardized Quality programs, tracking compliance, and developing site leaders’ competencies.Job Description

Key Competencies and Responsibilities:

Team Development: Support site level leadership training and succession planning through regular evaluation of site leader competency to ensure operational efficacy and Quality Program Compliance. Lead and assist conducting management meetings to order reinforce ownership, connection, and incentivization through all employee levels.Program Deployment: Leverage your expertise to help build and deploy Quality and other standardized operational programs with heavy focus on Janitorial.Compliance Tracking: Assist Portfolio Lead to ensure all sites within the portfolio maintain compliance with contractual agreements, Quality Program (account performance management system), standardized processes, corporate departments, budget targets, and company initiativesReporting Governance: Own and assist in creating and delivering required client governance and reporting requirements, MBRs, QBRs, Quality KPIsOperational Triage: Apply your expertise to address and resolve operational issues promptly. Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in addressing client and business challenges.Client Engagement: Work closely with client-facing teams to understand client needs and pain points. Use your subject matter expertise to develop tailored strategies and solutions that enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.Process Optimization: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for Quality improvement. Develop and implement optimization strategies to enhance operational effectiveness, reduce costs, and drive growth.Cost Reduction: Identify and address cost inefficiencies within business operations. Develop and execute strategies to drive cost savings while maintaining or improving service quality and operational effectiveness.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic plans aimed at achieving business objectives and driving client success. Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments as needed.Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation, build business cases with ROIs, and recommend new approaches to drive growth and improve business performance.

Qualifications:

Experience educating, enabling, empowering high performing teams and leadersSuccessful track record of strategic account leadership and performance with industry expertise in Life Science facilitiesCommercial and Soft Services portfolio management experience requiredBachelor’s degree in Business Management, or a related field with 5-8 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Dynamic communication skills required to effectively present to internal teams and external customersAbility to develop PowerPoint presentations and reporting documents with effective messaging, and analyze data and present analyses in Excel formatExpert Level Excel SkillsProven track record of data driven cost and process efficiency delivery to clients and to company marginDemonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, drive process improvements, and reduce costs

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $144,500.00 - $170,000.00
