Title: Director, Learning & Development

Location: Stamford, CT

Job Type: Full-Time Exempt

About the Role:  The Director, Learning and Development will support the assessment, creation, and execution of strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, workforce engagement, retention, and succession planning. This role will contribute to initiatives that align with the company's business goals while focusing on engaging, developing, and retaining top talent within our fast-paced, growing cannabis industry.

What You’ll Do: 

Execute organizational development initiatives and support talent management strategies like performance reviews and goal setting. Design and implement leadership development programs, succession planning frameworks, and learning strategies aligned with organizational goals. Create impactful learning and development programs to address skill gaps, career growth, and organizational changes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to drive change initiatives and enhance onboarding processes. Use data analytics to evaluate learning effectiveness and support DEIB efforts. Partner with external institutions to provide internships and manage vendor relationships as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

5-7 years of experience in Organizational Development and Learning & Development. Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of change management principles, adult learning theories, and diverse learning styles. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and modern learning methodologies. Strong strategic thinking, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Effective consultation, coaching abilities, and the ability to design impactful OD interventions.

Even Better If:

Master’s degree in a related field. Experience or certification in psychometric tools (e.g., CliftonStrengths, DiSC, MBTI).

 

Connecticut Hiring Range$140,000—$160,000 USD
