Director, Innovation

What You Will Do
• Develop and lead the strategy for Lowe’s Innovation Labs’ specific product workstream, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.
• Explore emerging technology in both hardware and software to build concepts and prototypes that support innovation strategy.
• Inspire the team to push the limitations of emerging technologies to find possible use cases for the company and create pathways to scale.
• Establish standards, OKRs, and overall operational framework for the team to ensure they deliver value back to the organization.
• Organize and prioritize the roadmap, making resource allocation decisions, and lead project ideation, selection, and progression reviews/decisions.
• Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to inform innovation strategies. Use data and insights to drive decision-making and ensure new solutions address customer pain points and desires.
• Oversee the development of prototypes, pilot programs and experimentation concepts, ensuring thorough testing before large scale implementation.
• Lead a team in support of achieving the company’s mission. Manage performance and fosters an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential.
• Structure and present impactful, highly visible executive-level presentations summarizing actionable insights and recommendations on new products, services, and business opportunities.

Required Qualifications
• 10 years of experience in software engineering, data science, product management, and/or business/entrepreneurship
• 5 years of direct team leadership experience
• 3 years of experience working on projects at all phases of the development cycle from prototype to scaled delivery
• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years working with emerging technology; experience with augmented reality/virtual reality technologies, artificial intelligence, and 3D software tools and workflows
• 2+ years in an innovation or start-up environment
• 2 years of experience in hardware/software prototyping
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership
• Master's degree in business, technology, or similar advanced degree

Pay Range: $169,500.00 - $322,100.00 annually
