For over 90 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has impacted thousands of lives across Delaware.  We are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation.

Each and everyday girls and boys are left to find their own recreation and companionship. An increasing number of kids are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to they have a place in their community where they can go. Clubs provide a safe haven for youth, allow them to meet with friends and be a part of positive peer groups. Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision-making skills.

Job Summary The Director, Grants Development is responsible for supporting the Grants Team in all aspects of grants development from research, writing, submission to grants management, providing technical assistance to Clubs on grants and compliance to ensure fulfilling grant requirements. Data tracking; data analysis extrapolation, and outcomes management for internal and external studies using software to inform strategic grants development and reporting. Responsibilities Essential FunctionsLead inspiring grant initiatives by partnering with the Executive Director of Grants and Community Partnerships to research, write, edit, and complete compelling grant applications, ensuring deadlines are met and opportunities are maximized.Ensure excellence in grant management by overseeing grant compliance, program implementation, spending, and reporting to ensure accountability and success in meeting funders’ expectations.empower Club sites by providing hands-on technical assistance to Club teams, supporting their achievement of grant deliverables.Drive data-informed strategy by managing cutting-edge systems and software to track reporting, analyze data, and make strategic recommendations that amplify our impact.Shape outcomes that matter: through collaborating on high-level program evaluation and data analysis, focusing on outcome management and continuous improvement.Build strong partnerships by working alongside our resource development team to secure new funding opportunities while nurturing meaningful relationships with grantors.Ensure compliance & effectiveness by developing innovative methods to ensure grant compliance, evaluate program outcomes, and submit top-notch reports that highlight our success stories.  Qualifications Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in a related field from accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in grant writing and management in a non-profit setting is preferred.  Competencies/Skills/Experience:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience utilizing and leveraging donor management softwareProficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Demonstrated organizational and research abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Possess a high degree of self-initiative and resourcefulness; able to work independently as well as collaboratively.Ability to exercise independent judgement in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines. Working Conditions:Regularly speak clearly and hear the spoken word.Maintain high energy level.Ability to perform duties effectively under stressful conditions; ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with tact and impartialityAbility to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pmTravel Required:  State-wide travel, 15% or less.  Work location:  North Admin.
