The Director, Global Treasury Operations is a senior level position responsible for building an efficient global Treasury organization that applies best practices in Treasury Operations management. The Director, Global Treasury Operations will be responsible for cash management and investments, debt management, and cash flow planning supported by best in class systems and tools on a global scale.  This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, understanding of financial markets and accounting concepts. The Director, Global Treasury Operations will also be tasked with leading innovations and managing the treasury organization globally.

Key Responsibilities:  

Oversight of corporate-wide activities related to Treasury operations functions, including but not limited to:

Cash management and cash forecasting, manage bank partners to achieve best return on investments and efficient cash poolingLiquidity planning and working capital management Implement and maintain standard processes followed across Treasury operations organization: identify and implement efficiency improvements, system standardization opportunities and support best practices implementationEfficient back office processing for FX and Interest Rates hedgesGlobal position reporting on cash, investments, debt and bank feesEnsure compliance with internal AES controls and policiesBuild partnerships with other AES departments including Accounts Payable, Legal, Tax and IT as well as with banks, to support efficient process and systems implementation and various Treasury processes and initiatives

Skills & Qualifications:  

Strong communication, presentation and leadership skillsStrong analytical skillsKnowledge of accounting conceptsNegotiating skillsThorough understanding of systems

Travel requirement %: <10%

Educational Preference:

MBA or Master’s in finance, economics or related disciplines.
