About the Role
The Director, Global Plastics Category will manage and make critical decisions on all aspects of the global supply base including contracts, commercial/ pricing, supply assurance, innovation, and conflict resolution. The successful candidate will develop and execute category strategies through alignment with HARMAN business units, engineering, quality, and manufacturing activities. Requires knowledge of the business units technology and product roadmaps and specific expertise in the procurement of category components and manufacturing cost structure. The role requires a sophisticated level of relationship management interfacing with business unit presidents and leaders of global suppliers, requiring balancing of interests to maintain mutually beneficial relationships. This person will be the senior escalation/communication point for HARMAN and the supply partner.

Minimum 10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Supply Chain Management preferably in the Automotive industryBachelor’s Degree in business or technical related fieldProven experience and ability to lead diverse global teams to achieve cost, quality, fulfillment, innovation, and time to market commitments.Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.Ability to speak clearly and express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations.Demonstrate resourcefulness to effectively leverage and focus resources across organizational/ geographic boundaries.What is Nice to Have

Salary Ranges:
