Job DescriptionMcDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a new Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Organization (IS&P). This organization will help McDonald’s to better use our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are redefining our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.
This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Function Enablement COE Director/Lead. This role will oversee the development and implementation of indirect sourcing and procurement policies, ensuring alignment with corporate governance, functional strategy, compliance, and sustainability goals.
This role will oversee policy management, supplier sustainability, and governance across the Sourcing and Procurement Operations components of IS&P. The role is responsible for collaborating horizontally across the entire IS&P team to ensure seamless communication and alignment on strategic objectives and initiatives. It is expected that this individual will drive Indirect Sourcing & Procurement supplier sustainability (ESG) initiatives, in alignment with Corporate objectives and ethical standards ensuring IS&P adheres to established policies and regulations. The role will collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers to create a compliant and sustainable supply chain.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving strategic capabilities for IS&P, including development of performance standards and metrics, management information and governance frameworks, policy frameworks, ESG initiatives, PMO playbooks, financial reporting, etc.Manage a team that is responsible for functional governance, sustainability (ESG) and policy mgmt. Mentor the COE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementPartner with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiativesWork closely with internal departments (e.g., legal, compliance, finance, and operations) to align procurement policies and sustainability goals with broader organizational strategiesIdentify and evaluate opportunities for innovation and process improvement in procurement practicesIdentify training needs and work with L&D to develop programs that enhance Procurement skilling in the organizationSupport project management activities, ensuring all central initiatives are tracked and monitored for the functionStay informed on industry trends, emerging regulations, and standard methodologies in procurement, sustainability, and governance to drive innovation and competitivenessBenefits eligible: Yes

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350 - $218,860 per year
