Job Summary: As the Director of Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the Healthcare System’s financial strategy and planning for all Compass One services provided. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of each service line at each hospital. You will assist with all the accounting, forecasting, and control functions for Compass One and you will act as a liaison between Compass One and key client financial stakeholders, including client accounting, finance, and the CFO group. This role is remote but must be located in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida and the client is based in South Carolina. Key Responsibilities: + Manage month-end closing process, including setting unit-level expectation, communicating and escalating accuracy or timeliness opportunities; working directly with Morrison and Prisma accounting to ensure accurate book-keeping; and proactively providing recommendations and supporting data for improvement actions. + Manage billing process by creating and submitting consolidated bills, unit-level generated fee bills, and providing back-up to clients and client CFOs as requested. Follow-up regularly with client AP to ensure all bills are processed timely to drive DSO results. + Assist in developing, executing, and tracking of cost reduction and operational improvement strategies. + Manage monthly CFO Review process by presenting financial performance results and related data as required by the contract and tailored based on client, CFO, and Morrison regional leadership’s request. + Manage Internal Control Review process by conducting ICR reviews on behalf of or in collaboration with Morrison Regional Leadership. Develop meaningful action plans with Directors and follow-up/follow-through to ensure continuous improvement. + Develops and maintains timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) + Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures + Reviews monthly results and implements additional monthly variance reporting as needed. + Establishes guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepares the annual budget in consultation with Regional Leadership. Consider "What if" scenarios and proactively communicate potential deviations from budget or forecast to Morrison Regional Leadership with recommendations for course-correction. + Oversee contract administration in collaboration with Morrison Regional Leadership by proactively requesting legal amendments as required by the contract and tracking and reporting contractual KPIs and providing improvement recommendations. + Train and coach new and continuing Directors and Managers in the use of financial applications in collaboration with the FAST Team and provide unit-level recommendations and ad hoc reporting for continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University preferred in Accounting or Finance; Five plus years of related experience, including reporting and analysis + Strong experience with Excel and Power Point. Experience with the Compass Suite (MyStaff, MyOrders, eMorrison, mVision, etc.) strongly preferred. Workday and Strata experience a plus. + Strong organization and time management skills are necessary to manage and complete multiple and shifting priorities/projects with accuracy and timeliness + Strong professional and interpersonal skills (negotiation and influencing others) as well as written communication skills + Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles + Travel up to 30% of the time Apply to Compass One Healthcare today!
