Director, Equity Derivatives Production Services

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

As a Head of Equity Derivative Production Services, you manage a team that supports the production environment and technology estate for the Equity Derivatives business. This role sits within QTS (Quantitative & Technology Services) Production & Risk Services and partners closely with the business, development groups, IT Risk and Technology Infrastructure to drive client outcomes.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Responsible for ensuring maximum system availability and rapid and precise remediation to issues for all technology within Equity Derivatives.

Proactive management and governance of our technology investment through a systematic metrics bases approach to drive improved scalability, performance, and efficiency.

Deliver best-in-class service by ensuring maximum stability of mission-critical production environments, driving efficiency through a bias towards automation and leveraging scale, and proactively move to mitigate risk.

Partner closely with development teams from early in the development lifecycle to ensure connectivity and shared objectives to build more resilient and supportable platforms.

Ensure seamless and continual 24x7 global support for a complex portfolio of applications, driving down the number of businesses impacting and resolution time for incidents.

Partner with senior business partners to understand evolving priorities and provide timely and accurate reports to key stakeholders on production performance of critical systems.

Ensures that well defined and executed production support procedures and policies are in place and fully aligned to enterprise standards about IT Risk, Change Management, Incident and Problem Management and strictly adhere to segregation of duties requirements.

Proactively identify and implement procedures to manage operational risk and control deficiencies, escalating any risks in a timely manner.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

10+ years of experience in a complex, global capital markets organizations.

Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Proven ability to lead and deliver results under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detailed and broad knowledge of the CM business particularly within Equity Derivates Sales & Trading.

Progressive experience leading large, global organization.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global organization and the ability to develop, maintain, and foster strong working relationships across the organization and contribute to in a positive fashion to the QTS, CM, and broader RBC culture.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $210,000-$275000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
