The Director EHS, Cell Culture Media is responsible for working with our EHS team and Operations team in Logan, UT to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for our associates. This position reports to the Senior Director, Site Leader for Cell Culture Media in Logan, UT, and will be an on-site role. What you will do: + Identify opportunities to minimize risks and prevent workplace injuries; work with cross-functional teams to drive projects and support continuous improvement initiatives. + Lead strategic roadmap for EHS organization, including short-term wins, projects and other initiatives for long-term improvement. + Lead and develop a team of EHS specialists, IH Leaders, Occupational Health Specialist, Physical Trainer, and Sustainability Leaders that will ensure support to the different operational areas at the multiple sites affiliated with our Logan Cell Culture organization. + Actively participate and support Cytiva’s Cell Culture Media’s EHS leadership to drive strategic and tactical changes ensuring good cross-functional collaboration with Danaher’s global sites. + Partner with R&D and other support departments to ensure safety and environmental risks are reviewed and EHS protocols are enforced during product development and implementation phase product launch cycle. + Serve as EHS subject matter expert with new technology and equipment coming online, including safety risks and other hazards being reviewed before equipment/process qualification. + Ensure site’s continued execution of its Environmental Management System for purposes of maintaining its ISO 14001 certification. Who you are: + Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required. + Master’s degree desirable. + EHS Professional Certification (eg. CIH; CSP) desirable. + Minimum 12 years of EHS related experience, 5+ in a senior leadership/supervisory role. + Ability to relate and collaborate with all levels of the organization + Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, excellent leadership skills including Daily Management and Change Management. + Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to travel – up to 10% to support other Danaher operating companies, including Cytiva CCM locations + Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record + Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + CGMP best practices + ISO regulations, specifically ISO 14001 Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
