Job Description SummaryThe Engineering Director leads Advanced Technology Development & New Product Introduction activities for the Peripheral Focused Ultrasound (PFUS) Program. The Director has wing to wing responsibility within Engineering for this technology program. This role will provide strategic and tactical leadership for all engineering deliverables connected to these areas as well as collaborate with partner functions to ensure business objectives are met.

The Director leads a global team of engineers and is responsible for strategically driving Engineering deliverables and functional excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead Engineering for all PFUS product engineering activities including Advanced Technology Development, Systems Engineering, Rapid prototyping, and related activities.Adopt principles of Lean to streamline Advanced Technology and New Product Introduction development programs with the goal of ensuring engineering executionTake active ownership of all engineering actions including collaboration as required with cross-functional teams for all other drivers.Work with the product management and peer engineering teams to develop high-quality, cost-effective, competitive and state-of-the-art PFUS products.Inspire, coach, and foster a high-performance global team focused on customer satisfaction and business outcomes.Promote spirit of teamwork and collaboration among all PFUS team members.Demonstrate excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives.Play a key role in planning and executing our strategic goals including standardization of designs, adoption of HLAs, reducing IB maintenance burden, supplier de-risking, refreshing our products, platforming.

 Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree within appropriate Engineering discipline or equivalentAt least 15 years of relevant industry experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in areas related Ultrasound Advanced Technology Development and/or New Product Introduction ActivitiesDemonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget goals in a global organization.Demonstrated engineering knowledge, global mindset, and business acumen, having experience with the complete product lifecycle management.Familiarity with ISO, FDA, CE and other regulatory standards from Post-Market perspective.
