Position Objective
This position is responsible for identifying, developing and producing innovative brand engagement opportunities that increase awareness of Samsung’s cross-product connectivity features and usage of the Samsung SmartThings platform. Your primary goal will be to build long-term competitive advantage for Samsung’s ecosystem through executing engagement programs, events and value-added partnerships. The position reports in to the Head of Connected Experience Center within our Corporate Marketing division.

Role and Responsibilities

Expand New Connectivity Retail & Partnerships: You’ll be responsible for bringing cross-device experiences to life by developing full funnel marketing strategies, spearheading operations planning and managing the details of production for connected experiences in physical environments. You’ll lead the creation of new programs to build mainstream awareness of Samsung’s connectivity offerings across the smart home and home AI. Collaborating across our Samsung lines of business, you’ll drive alignment on pitching, winning, executing and nurturing partnerships with existing and new retail partners. You’ll also be tasked with finding and establishing new strategic partnerships that enhance our ecosystem’s value and appeal to our consumers.

Manage Connectivity Experiences In Events & Trade Shows: You’ll act as both an internal and external ambassador and expert for SmartThings and connectivity features. Partnering with the events, PR, training, and communications team you’ll manage inclusion of connectivity storylines, content and experiences in critical events so both internal stakeholders and channel partners are aware of the latest connectivity innovations. You’ll advise on critical sales relationships about priority use cases and features. Having a producer mindset, you’ll ensure both the quality of execution and seek to improve the effectiveness and cohesion of experiences through a data-driven approach.
 

Plan Connectivity Activations in Owned Channels: Working closely with brand marketing teams in New Jersey, you’ll define activation plans and develop content strategy for owned channels such as social, Samsung.com, owned retail, and CRM. You’ll consult with retail design teams to create cross-line of business POP and visual merchandising solutions that encourage our consumers to use our connected features. You’ll partner with our social team to develop creative and engaging storylines about SmartThings that drive people to our SmartThings app. You’ll gather data based on activations that have been completed and propose new ideas based on data-driven learnings.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of related experience in brand creative, strategy, brand operations, integrated marketing or brand partnershipsExperience in marketing and working with brand and marketing teams to deliver integrated marketing strategies, initiativesProven track record of successful customer engagement and retention strategiesPrior knowledge of connected experience design and setup, e.g. smart home or IoT productsExpert in brand marketing fundamentals (consumer/shopper, equity/products, go to market, creative operations, experiential, social/influencer, loyalty programs, etc)Exceptional presentation and writing skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and experience influencing executives                                                                                                                             Excellent project management skills, with prior experience managing cross-functional and global teams in technology or media industriesData-driven mindset with strong analytical skillsCreative thinker with passion for ideating and developing innovative marketing solutions
