Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans. **About the Director, Data Science and Advanced Analytics Position** The Director of Data Science and Advanced Analytics is responsible for providing thought leadership, strategic thinking and technical expertise to solve business problems leveraging optimization, story-telling, advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning. This position will be responsible for executing on key initiatives for the company and ensuring data science alignment with our business strategies and outcomes. The Director, Data Science and Advanced Analytics will also build a team of data scientists and quantitative analysts and ensuring the team focuses on delivering business value through sustainable solutions. **What You Get to Do:** + Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking to translate business problems into analytical frameworks, and independently recommends actions and provide business insights. + Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning, including product roadmap, prioritization, methodologies, development of models and MLOps. + Manage priorities and allocates resources as well as communicate business performance and project progress to management and & business partners. + Collaborate and partners with the Data Platform and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure data architectures, models and pipelines are designed and built to enable, monitor, and sustain data science and machine learning. + Advocate for advanced analytics and AI use cases by engaging across the organization with all levels of the organization.Incorporates + Decision Science to design and build effective decision-making tools. **What You Bring to the Table:** + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences or in related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. + Ideally 4+ years of experience in developing Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning Solutions. + Experience leading people/teams, including strong leadership and people development skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results. + Ability to lead and direct a team of Data Science SME’s and interdepartmental teams. + Strong understanding of Analytics and Visualization techniques. + Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments. + Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth. **Got Extra to Bring?** + Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences or related field of study from an accredited college or university. + Ideally 4+ years in the Energy sector. **Advantages of Working at Colonial Pipeline Company:** Prosperity, Health, Wellness, and Happiness – Check out Colonial’s Total Rewards (https://www.colpipe.com/careers/benefits-and-total-rewards) **Are you up to the challenge?
