Director, Data Governance (Policy, Forums & Reporting), Securities Services
**Services – Data Governance Policy, Forums and Reporting** The role will be part of the Services Global Data Governance Office. The Data Governance Policy, Forums and Reporting lead will work with various Product and Data Owners to ensure compliance with the Global Data Governance Policy. You will work directly with the Enterprise Data Office to ensure Services’ alignment with enterprise initiatives and work efforts. Influence policy and standards changes to ensure it accounts for Services specific business requirements. Work to develop new processes and controls to drive alignment across Services businesses. Including the development of reporting related to Metadata quality, Data Quality scoreboards, Lineage coverage and Data Defect Remediation. **Key Responsibilities** • Central point of contact accountable for orchestrating Data Governance adherence within the Services organization, including driving the effective implementation of the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and the associated obligations • Establishes the required governance structures within Services, including updates to senior leadership, to enforce the CDGP/S and lead appropriate governance working groups/forums to drive consensus, issue resolution, ownership, and agreement on data quality with respect to data assets owned by Services • Engages and coordinates with key stakeholders, SMEs, Data Owners, Data Stewards, Technology Owners, and the SM&C Data Lead to drive the execution of data controls and strategic data priorities • Works with Product and Technology to find innovative ways to integrate Data Governance controls into Data Management technology and toolsets • Develops and manages the staff of the Services Data Governance Office team, and ensures data staffing adequacy in the Services org • Manage team of senior professionals including management of people, budget, and planning. Has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations • Drive the development of a Services Data Governance Metrics and Reporting function to track overall Data Governance health and monitoring of key data activities • Build a Governance Command Center vision, where all governance activities can be monitored and then assigned to data producers in a federated/self-service first model • Liaise with key stakeholders, including the EMT, Board and regulators to communicate the data strategy and progress towards achieving it • Partners with the functions, lines of business and regions to define the prioritized scope for the enterprise data program • Integrate and align functions, lines of business and regional data roadmaps into an enterprise data roadmap to deliver on the prioritized scope • Build the enterprise business case for the data programs by collaborating with leaders from functions, lines of business and regions and track findings • Responsible for executing functional strategy in Data Governance area, including publishing, and embedding the Data Governance strategy • Facilitate consensus and resolve confusion for data governance areas that require integration across Enterprise and Federated data teams • Develop medium- to long-term plans and execute functional Data Governance strategies **Qualifications** • 10+ years relevant experience in in Banking, Financial Services • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. • Strong ability to perform extensive strategic leadership in delivering business value through vision, governance, and executive management • Strategic mindset, with ability to foresee future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies • Manage through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems • Communicates effectively; develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences • Experience creating and executing against frameworks that improve the quality and value of data to meet regulatory commitments and enhance risk management • Experience leveraging glossary, lineage, and data quality tools to drive governance • Experience creating and being a champion for a positive risk culture that supports sustainable business growth through transparent engagement, a partnership approach, and a no-tolerance approach for behavior that exposes the organization to an inappropriate amount of risk • Able to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders • Exceptional leadership skills to build a culture of accountability, collaboration and teamwork across the organization ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Data Governance ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Data Governance Foundation ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location:** New York New York United States ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
