Director, Critical Environment Operations - Programs

Deployment, implementation and auditing of the CEM standards program.Communicate and work closely with Facility/Operations Management/Client in the evaluation of MEP technical issues and provide recommendations to resolve identified problems. Manage and develop the reporting techniques necessary for updating all those involved.Advise MOP/SOP work efforts directly related to the critical infrastructure, including attendance at recurring meetings, tracking of MOP related Operations.Review and recommendations of MEP Operations/construction related activities supporting critical operations/functions. Review plans and drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, specification, and requirements, etc.), to eliminate potential operational or system problems, make recommendations as necessary and/or required. Provide technical direction to account operations.Oversee the deployment, development of programs effecting the critical operations, but not limited to the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire/Life Safety, Operations/light construction services. Analyze equipment performance and maintenance methods. Review and audit maintenance programs. Create, implement, ensure adherence to the Preventative Maintenance programs in place.Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facility is being maintained to the highest standards or the standards expected by the MSA and the Client. Immediately recognize and report deficiencies to management. Recommend improvements and modifications to increase system reliability.Ensure all inspections, testing and certification for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, etc., systems are completed as required and permits displayed and reissued on a timely basis.Maintain on-going compliance to Clients Reporting methods and JLLs operations/compliance Audit assessment programs.  Remain up-to-date on compliance requirements.Develop and maintain critical operations, procedure and safety playbooks throughout designated critical areas and ensure staff and vendors are appropriately trained.Manage and develop daily operational requirements that will support the Clients current/ future needs.Recommend, deploy, support approved CEM training programs - including coordinating efforts with regional leadership, Facility Managers, Operations Managers, site leads and technicians.Support the implementation of critical spares program for all data center campuses.Support the development and deployment of technical and critical environment site training plans and programs.Develop and monitor a system of life cycle analysis of the major building equipment and systems to be used in long-range forecasting and capital planningEnsure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies, JLL/Clients MSA, policies, standards, guidelines as it relates to data center building operations.Maintain on-going communication with internal and external customers, facilities manager, regional leadership, site teams, vendors and contractors as it related to critical facilities program management.Support procedure review and management of maintenance change protocols to ensure continuity of critical systems.Develop reporting/tracking methods necessary for keeping the senior leadership management informed of all events, work efforts and/or tasks associated with the CEM Critical Environments Program position.Respond to support of operational, incidents and emergencies 7x24. Provide program deployment of incident and escalation management policies.Performs additional job duties as requested.

ASSIST – IN

OpEx/CapEx budget management identifying operational opportunities for the purpose of forecasting and budgeting purposes.The research, design, implementation and verification of energy conservation initiatives / management programs.Routinely Participate in the management of technology; MCIM, BTECH, Battery MGMTetc. that supports the data center operations.The monitoring, adherence to the JLL/Clients Life/Safety Compliance Programs.The monitoring, adherence to, the JLL/Clients MSA quality/annual audit programs – including the EOPM, JCAP, EHS, etc. reporting.Support with the selection, management, and coordination of vendors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in a data center and critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, switch-gear and cooling plants.Prior experience with development of mission critical programs operations and management10 years of managing data center account programs and operationsWorking knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.Expertise in training content creation and deployment while leveraging the latest advancements in technologyExperience organizing training activities in a corporate environmentHigh degree of communication and leadership skillsAbility to meet 20-40% travel requirementsAbility to articulate value proposition to the clientApplicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States

Estimated total compensation for this position:

130,000.00 – 170,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
