Worker Designation – This role is hybrid. This means you will be expected to report to one of our Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

Education & Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or a related field 10 years of professional job related work experience, 5 years management experience Marketing and advertising experience, to include internal or external agency experience Experience working across various business units to include B2B, product and recruiting

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Builds and establishes a strong relationship with senior internal business unit leaders; effectively communicates and collaborates across various internal groups and external vendors. Interprets clients’ business strategy into communication and advertising strategies; presents creative solutions to meet clients’ business objectives. Promotes strategically sound expansion of business with existing internal clients; influences various stakeholders to think more creatively and strategically. Guides Aflac’s creative and strategic growth, inspires internal agency culture, manages key internal client relationships, and oversees business operations and agency profitability. Manages agency disciplines; business development, client strategy, account services, creative, production, social content and editorial staff, research, digital, and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring and performance management; responsible for department policies, practices, and procedures. Attracts and retains top agency talent; ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood Recommends and manage change(s), as required by the development and growth of the business. Acts as an ambassador to increase Aflac’s brand awareness through participation in industry associations, networks and community organizations. Manages the graphic design, copy writing and social content studio functions; provides leadership in the operations of the departments, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals; identifies and develops new communication methods and designs for the company to reduce expenses. Defines, develops and maintains reporting to measure performance, customer satisfaction, cycle times and project cost savings, and reports metrics to senior leadership Manages all internal projects including critical branding and marketing projects; participates in the development of new project proposals and time/cost estimates. Develops and manages overhead budget, and oversees the tracking and assessment of cost savings by leveraging the internal teams in lieu of outside advertising agencies – tracks ROI of the department. Oversees the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials and the preparation, issuance and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs. Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company; promotes positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors Works with department managers and staff to develop five year and ten year business plans for the company; establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures; serves on planning and policy-making committees. Responsible for identifying and managing technology and publishing platforms and subscriptions needed to ensure operational excellence, which includes but not limited to: Workfront, DAM, Sales Marketplace, Zmags, etc. Responsible for the development of a “social content studio” including an editorial department and writing staff to create intuitive content (articles, listicles, blogs, infographics, etc.) for use by the sales force and marketing department to drive digital engagement of potential customers. Adheres to project deadlines and budget, and escalates issues appropriately; manages and supports an account and traffic team to provide best in class client service Ensures event production and multimedia teams offer a best in class experience to our internal business partners, driving cost savings and support in our newly virtual business environment.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $260,000.
