Cottage Health seeks a Director Contracting responsible for all payer contracting for all Cottage entities. Major accountabilities include:

Leads and maintains collaborative payer relationships and serves as the liaison to the community, brokers, payers, business and the government in relation to managed care contracts. Assures health system administration, compliance, legal, revenue cycle, and population health management are informed of developments and trends in the managed care marketplace. Implements new managed care programs in conjunction with health system leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently. 

Education:

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business of Health Administration. Preferred: Master of Health Care Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Technical Requirements:

Minimum: Significant knowledge of contractual, administrative, health insurance and operational issues related to managed care organizations.

Years of Related Work Experience:

Minimum: 7 years of experience in health care or managed care industry.
