Director, Content Strategy

Thank you for considering Progyny!

Progyny is looking for a Director, Content Strategy reporting to the VP, Content Strategy. This role will play a critical role in setting strategy for member-facing content across products. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and optimizing content that delivers impactful healthcare experiences. This role also requires imagination to envision what our product needs next, so we continue to bring meaningful, effective, well-designed, and curated content to members.

You will work closely with teams across the organization and collaborate regularly with our Product colleagues, Member Services, Analytics, Marketing, and other teams. We are looking for a smart, creative, and entrepreneurial strategist eager to take leadership roles in developing relevant content that support positive health outcomes for members across their health journeys.

 What you’ll do…

Educate internal teams about what makes content valuable to different stakeholders, what content can and cannot effectively accomplish, what tools and services are required to deliver strong content strategy, what we should watch in related technologies (customer relationship management, learning management systems, publishing platforms, content management systems, etc.) and more.

Develop a strong knowledge of our content and creation process so that you can advocate for improvements and quickly evaluate ways we could pursue new requests. With this knowledge, own initiatives that pull a member’s entire journey together. Conceptualize of lean pilots and what would be needed to elevate initial tests into robust, scalable solutions.

Leverage our internal subject matter experts and external medical consultants to brainstorm novel content solutions that elevate past a “copycat” program from competitors.

Collaborate with Member Services and Analytics on campaigns that can elevate the member experience, clearly demonstrate the value of our products (both current and new), and increase overall content utilization.

Analyze performance data to optimize campaigns, offer recommendations, and generate new ideas. Gain a deep understanding of reporting, build cross-team consensus, and drive projects forward that close gaps in internal knowledge and increase our ability to understand content performance.

About you…

Liberal arts degree -- MBA, MPH or other graduate degree a plus

Experience in women’s healthcare a plus

10 years of relevant work experience in content strategy, content development, health education, health behavior, digital health technology, or an adjacent space

Very strong problem definition and solution criteria skills: ability to isolate significant drivers and relationships within complex systems, specify requirements, and generate elegant solutions

Demonstrated experience in independent assessment of business needs, problems & process gaps

Ability to develop and recommend solutions, pivot if needed, and assess the business impact of implemented proposals

Ability to build meaningful relationships with all levels of cross-functional internal teams and management

Outstanding problem solving, analytical, and project management skills

Proven talent driving change, influencing thought, and promoting consensus across a matrix organization

Flexible, curious, and proactive approach
