Director, Consumer Insights
The Director of Consumer Insights will lead the development and execution of consumer research strategies to drive innovation, brand growth, and product development for the company. This role requires deep expertise in understanding consumer behavior, market trends, and customer needs within the food manufacturing industry. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data-driven decisions align with the company’s goals. **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** US Works from Home **Job Type:** Strategy **Job Posting Title:** Director, Consumer Insights **Job Description:** **Roles & Responsibilities:** + Consumer Research Leadership: Develops and implements consumer research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) to generate insights that inform marketing strategies, product development, and innovation pipelines. + Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyzes consumer data from various sources (surveys, focus groups, social listening, syndicated data) to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and understand customer preferences. + Strategic Partnering: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate consumer insights into marketing campaigns, new product launches, and overall business strategy. + Trend Analysis: Stays up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive analysis to anticipate shifts in consumer behavior and guide long-term business strategies. + Segmentation and Profiling: Leads efforts to develop consumer segmentation and profiling to enhance targeted marketing efforts and improve customer engagement. + Vendor & Partner Management: Manages relationships with external research vendors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective research solutions. + Reporting & Presentation: Creates and delivers presentations that communicate insights, recommendations, and strategies to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization. _The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks. Additional tasks and duties may be assigned from time to time as necessitated by business needs._ **Qualifications & Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Consumer Psychology, or related field required (Master’s degree preferred) + 8+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related roles, preferably within the food manufacturing or CPG industry + Skills and Abilities: + Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to include sales, insights, R&D, technical applications and effectively influence an extended organization + Experience in project management + Experience with consumer research and familiar with Consumer, Shopper & Market Insights (IRI and/or Nielsen preferred) + Financial & Analytic Acumen, attention to detail is critical + Must be able to work with minimum supervision once objectives are clear and keep the team posted regularly on relevant detail **EEO Statement:** Winland Foods believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
