Your Impact

The Hearst Magazines Commerce Team is looking for a strategic Director of Commerce Partnerships to join our commerce team and take the lead in managing our complex network of affiliate partners. This role will serve as a leader within our commerce team to manage and expand our affiliate partnerships across our growing and diverse portfolio of 25+ titles.

The ideal candidate is confident seeking out & negotiating impactful partnerships, and working with other internal teams to guide innovative commerce partnership strategies. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a wide-variety of merchants across the fashion, tech, home, and fitness space. You should be skilled at making data-driven decisions and seeking out new opportunities based on content & industry trends. This position will report to the VP of Commerce and manage one direct report.

What you’ll do

Oversee existing & new affiliate partnerships on behalf of Hearst's Magazine brands, including merchant partners, affiliate vendors, & advertisers. Have a deep understanding of our commerce offerings; communicate these to potential partners and internal stakeholders alike. Identify new areas of opportunity across the business and lead cross-functionally to execute on these. Monitor & communicate performance of commerce partnerships against revenue & EPC goals. Provide strategic guidance to a variety of cross-functional teams, including audience, business development, editorial, product, and marketing. Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert on Hearst’s commerce value proposition & criteria for partnership.

Who you are

Bachelor's degree 7+ years experience in a business development, content strategy, or affiliate marketing role, preferably at a digital media company Highly detailed and solutions-oriented, approaches problems creatively Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and is comfortable working independently Well-versed in building strong relationships and explaining complex topics in simple terms Experienced in analyzing data, interpreting results, and building digestible reports in Excel, Google Slides, and other BI tools

The base salary for this role is between $116,000 - $135,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
