What you need to know about the role:We are seeking a Director, Business Operations to act as the primary liaison with corporate and technology business operations leaders and unlock world-class operational excellence within the Global Solutions team.

The newly established Global Solutions Engineering organization will deliver products for Global Markets, including key strategic initiatives such as Digital Wallets, that will allow expansion of PayPal’s footprint through intuitive experiences. This team will be responsible for building out platforms that will accelerate time to value across all PayPal markets.

Your day-to-day:
Partner with senior leadership to define and drive strategic vision, goals, and objectives Evolve team operating model including processes to enable strategic planning along with identifying opportunities for simplification, quality, and productivity improvement; and deliver the analysis and associated actions necessary to enable continuous improvement Deliver spending plans, allocation and oversight processes, and hiring strategies to enable judicious management of OpEx dollars to/below budget, reflecting business priorities Align workforce allocation according to strategic priorities and execute within Workforce Planning. Provide requirements to Workforce Planning for analysis against strategic initiatives to allow decision-making. Create, implement, and drive operating rhythms, relevant artifacts, and team events to enable better communications and engagement up down, and across functions & teams; optimize cadences, drive agenda and prep for internal team rhythms, management/executive reviews Build a culture of data-driven decision-making by building, developing, maintaining, and reporting core Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to measure velocity, churn, and capacity Be a thoughtful steward of the cultural values we strive for as a company (collaboration, innovation, inclusion, wellness) and an ambassador of enterprise-wide activities Drive Technical Platform program/project in collaboration with engineering leaders Build a standard Agile process for all core consumer engineering teams Partner with enterprise stakeholders in further defining the job framework, skills mapping, and location strategy for Consumer Engineering Manage budget and key SOWs with third partiesWhat do you need to bring:
12+ years of experience in planning, business operations, or technical project management 8+ years of experience delivering strategic, high-priority projects in matrixed environments Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike High delivery focus with an emphasis on task ownership and completion Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively with all organization levels Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner Ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed management environment Ability to influence and achieve alignment across a range of different opinions and interests Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field is required**We know the confidence gap and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates.
