Director, Business Analysis - Enterprise / Business Architecture

Summary of This Role

Global Payments is seeking an experienced and dynamic director to lead a team of analysts focused on enterprise and business architecture initiatives. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of analysts while driving critical business architecture projects that support the company’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, enterprise architecture tools, and leadership experience to guide the team through complex business and IT transformations. 

The team will ensure Global Payments fully understand the impacts of change, facilitate business alignment, better identify and reduce redundancies, and deliver actionable insights to leaders that help guide investment decisions.

What Part Will You Play?

Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, providing direction, coaching, and performance management. Ensure the team is aligned with business goals and technology strategy.

Business Architecture Oversight: Oversee the development and documentation of business architecture models, ensuring they are aligned with the broader enterprise architecture strategy. Facilitate collaboration between business and IT teams to drive architecture initiatives.

Project Management: Lead and manage business architecture-related projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations are met. Balance multiple priorities and ensure the delivery of high-quality work.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior business leaders, IT architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure that business requirements are captured accurately and translated into effective technical solutions.

Enterprise Architecture Tools Management: Utilize and oversee the use of enterprise architecture tools such as ABACUS, LeanIX, and similar platforms to support enterprise and business architecture functions. Guide the team in leveraging these tools for optimal results.

Requirements and Process Improvement: Support the team in gathering and prioritizing business requirements related to IT systems, and identifying opportunities for process improvements across business operations.

Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and methodologies for analysis, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Reporting & Communication: Regularly report on team progress, project status, and key achievements to senior leadership. Communicate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.

Change Management: Oversee change management activities, ensuring that business and IT changes are well-coordinated, documented, and effectively implemented.

Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, identifying opportunities for skill development, training, and process optimization.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

8+ years of experience in business analysis with a focus on IT and business architecture, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.

Strong experience with enterprise architecture tools such as Abacus, LeanIX, or similar platforms.

Proven track record in managing and developing teams of business analysts, with experience leading cross-functional projects.

Deep understanding of business architecture, process modeling, and systems integration.

Strong experience with project management, preferably in an IT or enterprise architecture context.


Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certifications: TOGAF, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
