The Director of Bruin Card Services at Belmont University is responsible for managing the university's campus card office, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of credentialing services across multiple campus facilities and services. This role involves oversight of card services related to security door access, dining, vending, retail services, student financial services, fitness and recreation facilities, event access library services, print services, pharmacy services, and future service integrations. The Director will also ensure the integrity and security of card operations, collaborate with IT for software and hardware integrations, manage the card office website, and oversee the budget for card operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Direct and manage Bruin Card Service. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the campus card office, ensuring a one-stop shop for all credentialing needs. Lead the deployment of mobile credential program ensuring the efficient delivery of services and privileges including security door access, dining, vending, BruinShop, BruinBooks, Student Financial Services, Fitness/Recreation, event access, library services, print services, pharmacy services, and other integrations. Develop and implement policies and procedures for card operations. Train and advise campus support staff who will provide troubleshooting support for common card issues.Oversee credentialing and software/hardware integration. Manage Transact, Housing, Access Control and other software integrations, and APIs related to Card Services. Oversee hardware investments and ensure seamless integration with campus services. Issue mobile credentials and physical cards, as needed (i.e. Nursing and Medical Students, vendors, contractors, and summer programming).Develop and document Bruin Card Services best practices. Establish a comprehensive repository for troubleshooting card issues. Develop efficient resolution processes to ensure timely and effective problem-solving. Develop training program and resources for support staff, campus partners and users.Manage the Bruin Card Services website. Ensure the card office website is a comprehensive resource for card-related information. Regularly update the website with relevant information, including troubleshooting guides, services updates, and policy changes. Enhance user experience by providing clear, accessible, and up-to-date content.Research and propose technology advancements. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to card operations. Participate in related professional associations and training opportunities. Research and propose technology advancements to keep Bruin Card Services best in class. Implement new technologies to improve service delivery and security.Budget oversight and financial management. Develop and manage budget for Bruin Card Services. Identify cost-saving revenue generating opportunities. Monitor expenditures and ensure financial resources are utilized efficiently. Prepare financial reports and forecasts as required. Develop strategic plan for equipment, software upgrades, and other technology advancements.Collaborate closely with campus partners. Work closely with campus partners, including security, dining services, residence life, and IT, to ensure coordinated service delivery. Foster strong relationships and maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders.
