Job Description

Position Summary

The Asset Manager will be responsible for asset managing a portfolio of LandCo’s nationwide investments.  The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual with a solid asset management / land development background.  This individual should have the desire to be a part of a rapidly expanding program, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals.  This position will require significant travel. The individual will likely need to be located in Arizona.

Your Key Deliverables

Responsible for conducting, tracking and reporting of project development oversight post-closing

Conduct asset specific update meetings with builder and developer partners to monitor horizontal land development progress, budget tracking, lot takedowns and home sales

Complete property inspections periodically and as necessary to ensure acceptable progress tracking

Onboard new assets and partners into lot transaction and draw tracking systems and software

Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of potential transactions (analyze builder Pro Forma / budget, attend site visit, provide input on local market conditions, etc.)

Evaluate work progress to recommend approval of draw requests and funding disbursements

Analyze project financials and performance metrics to monitor asset risk

Contribute to monthly and quarterly portfolio reports for Investment Committee, Investors and Senior Management

 Conduct market research and analysis to obtain local market knowledge of competitor offerings, positioning, location, and market supply and demand trends Problem solve project and portfolio level development issues through research and analysis

Must Haves

10+ years of related experience in single-family asset management and / or residential land development, engineering or construction management

Bachelor’s degree (prefer real estate, business or finance)

High proficiency in MS Excel and other MS applications required

Understanding of housing markets, land-use planning and real estate financial modeling

Familiarity with zoning laws, housing regulations and public-private partnership models

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; strong reporting skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and insightful analyses tailored to diverse audiences

Collaborate with stakeholders to build long-term partnerships, drive engagement and achieve project success

Ability and willingness to become Notary

Strong management skills, with an ability to work independently and multitask

Highly motivated, with a positive "can do" attitude

Ability to think like an owner in all decision making

Willingness to travel
