Direct the daily administrative operations and activities of the Office of Academic Affairs at the Silver School of Social Work. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Director, Academic Affairs will direct complex administrative matters related to academic administration process, oversee teaching-related onboarding and general issues regarding adjunct faculty appointments and reappointments across all programs at the School. The Director will conceptualize develop and implement policies and procedures ensuring that the Silver School's degree programs are in compliance with University, School and state academic and faculty-related policies and procedures. Oversee the administration of accreditation and reaccreditation efforts including compliance measurement and reporting. This role will serve as project manager for designing and implementing programs and systems to better serve the school, faculty and academic affairs function. Develop and supervise office support staff.

 

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in higher education administration, policy, management, or other related field

Required Experience:
7+ years relevant professional level experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing office operations, accreditation and supervising staff.

Preferred Experience:
Previous experience working with academic accreditation and overseeing office operations in an academic setting

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Ability to implement and interpret policies and procedures and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. Ability to deliver consistently high quality, timely service and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously in an high volume academic environment. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $145,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
