Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking Direct Support Personnel to assist in developing the therapeutic program and treatment plan by helping to create a therapeutic environment. Through direct service, the DSP collaborates in achieving the goals of the residential program.

Details of the position include:

Location: Mashpee, MA

Setting: Residential Home

Start date: ASAP

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30-2:30

 

What you will do as a 1:1 Direct Support Personnel:

Implement Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP) objectives Document individuals’ progress towards DHSP objectives Assist individuals physically as necessary Ensure the health, safety, and general wellbeing of the individual Provide and maintain community based habilitation/therapeutic experiences through social, recreational and volunteer opportunities, based on the individual’s needs and wishes Transport the individual as assigned 

What you will need as a 1:1 Direct Support Personnel:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1+ years’ experience and/or training working with individuals with disabilities Valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work independently  Strong computer and word processing skills
