We are looking for a creative and results-oriented Digital Fundraising Manager with expertise in content creation to drive conversions and encourage donations. This role is vital for engaging our audience and effectively communicating the impact of their contributions. The location for this position is remote.
As the Digital Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing content-driven marketing strategies that inspire individuals to donate. Leveraging content produced by agency partners, as well as creating original assets for organic channels, will be key to enhancing donor engagement and driving conversion rates. This position works closely with the direct response fundraising team and digital agencies to ensure alignment and maximize impact.

ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for leading and managing the creation and production of creative content, including video assets, audio assets, and live production properties for social and digital fundraising initiatives for direct response. Additionally, you will adapt and optimize agency-created content for organic use across email, social media, and other digital platforms, ensuring it aligns with campaign goals and resonates with our audience.
Content Strategy and Calendar Development:
-Create and implement a comprehensive content strategy focused on driving donations and increasing donor engagement across various channels, including website, email, social media, and digital campaigns.
Content Creation:
- Repurpose and adapt content created by agency partners to align with fundraising goals and engage donor audiences effectively across email, social media, and other digital channels.
- Transform existing organizational content into donor-focused messaging that highlights the impact of contributions.
- Craft engaging calls-to-action (CTAs) and donation messaging to inspire donor action and deepen audience connection to the mission.
Campaign Support:
- Support the planning and execution of monthly targeted digital marketing campaigns that leverage content to drive donations, including seasonal appeals, and recurring giving programs.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to align content efforts with specific campaigns and initiatives.
Audience Engagement:
- Utilize audience segmentation and data analytics to tailor content to specific donor segments, enhancing relevance and driving higher conversion rates.
- Engage with the audience through social media and other platforms to build relationships and encourage involvement.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to content effectiveness, donor engagement, and conversion rates.
- Use insights to optimize content strategies and make data-driven decisions for future campaigns.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the design team to ensure that visual elements complement and enhance content.
- Collaborate with other departments, including fundraising, communications, and program teams, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with organizational goals
Trend Monitoring:
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance content strategies and drive innovation.
Qualifications Five (5) to seven (7) years of the following experience:Must show portfolio of work, including social media posts, blogs, videos, emails, infographics, etc.Knowledge of social media and content platforms (such as Sprinklr), how to upload content, and measure results.Experience or comprehensive understanding of non-profit environmentsAbility to meet and build beneficial relationships with all levels of Association staff, vendors, and external stakeholders such as volunteers or representatives of partner organizationsAbility to build and adhere to both strategic and tactical plansAbility to adjust based on data.Experience working with PowerPoint, canvas, pixaby, Shutterstock and other creative resources.
Preferred:
Five (5) to eight (8) years of the following experience:Skilled in all facets of digital fundraising Ability to self-direct daily activities and set prioritiesAbility to work within a high-paced environment and collaboratively with agency partners. Compensation & BenefitsExpected pay range will be $80,000 to $95,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
