ResponsibilitiesJob Summary
Responsible for supervision of a Treatment Advocates: Hiring and termination, performance evaluations, corrective actions, oversee house/facility schedules, hours worked and coverage. Provide team leadership and ensure all patients are supervised at all times. Ability to organize, develop and maintain program policies and procedures that meet the criteria for program licensure and certification by the State and CARF
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct day to day workflow of Behavioral Health TechniciansEnsure new hire Behavioral Health Technician orientation and ongoing training is in placeProvides team leadership in Residential facility and work with outpatient Director as neededEnsure residential and outpatient BHTs are aware of and trained in cultural diversity issuesConduct walk thru inspections to assure oversight and support of superviseesSupervise and train supervisees on AMA blocking and other proactive proceduresResponsible for ensuring all patients are supervised at all times; gym, office, appointments, etc.Will provide assistance/coverage on shift when needed to ensure patients are supervised per policy and procedures Responsible and accountable for managing direct reportsPreparation and presentation of performance evaluationsProvides objective feedback to employeesMakes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicableProvides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required trainingHolds interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positionsResponsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns according to annual budgetMonitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practicesCreates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policiesAssigning shift tasks and responsibilities to BHTs as neededOversee the schedule for BHTs ensuring appropriate staffing dailyWill provide on call support to BHT and be willing to be onsite if necessary, on nights, holidays, weekends, or any other unscheduled time. (primarily for emergencies)Act as the coordinator between non-clinical daily functions provided by supervisees and therapeutic clinical functions provided by therapistAssure supervisees are trained in non-clinical recovery practices such as 12 step programming, sober community supports, or various other initiativesAssist in developing approved training curriculum for superviseesAssist in developing approved non-clinical programming to be used by supervisees in provision of duties QualificationsEducation/Experience:
Master’s Degree in behavioral health-related field with three years’ experience working in Substance Use Disorder treatment, or Bachelor Degree in behavioral health-related field (Bachelor Degree in non-related field may be acceptable with appropriate experience) with 5 years of proven experience working in Substance Use Disorder treatment.Current certification through a credible organization in the field of addictions.Two years of supervisory or team management preferred.Knowledge of principles and practices of all facets of an addiction treatment facility.Personal understanding of recovery as it relates to community, 12-steps, fellowships and sponsorship.Ability to adapt, observe, and make decisions.Prior experience with Sigmund Aura EHR preferred.Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Physical Requirements
